TENNESSEE TIDBITS
• Tennessee's all-time record now stands at 801-355-53.• The Vols are now 0-2 all-time vs. Oregon
• UT is now 17-15-4 all-time against Pac-12 schools
• Tennessee is now 7-8-1 all time against No. 2 ranked teams
• Tennessee suffers its first loss on this date, now owning a 1-1-2 record.
• With the loss, the Big Orange snapped a 12-game win-streak vs. non-conference opponents, the last loss also coming against Oregon on Sept. 11, 2010.
• Butch Jones is now 2-1 at Tennessee and owns a career record of 52-28.

FIRST DRIVE FIRSTS
• Justin Worley's 51-yard pass to Josh Smith was the longest throw and catch of both Vols' careers.• The four-yard TD catch by Jason Croom was not only the first touchdown of Croom's career, but the first catch
• The TD reception was also the first that the Ducks gave up in this 2013 season.
• With the passing TD, Worley became the first quarterback to throw a touchdown against the Ducks since Collin Klein did so for Kansas State in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 3, 2013.
• The TD snapped a span of 137 minutes and 35 seconds that the Ducks had not let up a passing touchdown.
FIRST CAREER...
• Redshirt freshman Alden Hill scored his first career touchdown on a 8-yard run, to cap a 12 play, 73-yard, 6:16 drive on his first rush of the game.• Hill finished the game with five rushes for 38 yards and a TD
SACKING THE DUCKS
• On 2nd and goal from the nine yard line in the first quarter, Marlon Walls registered his second sack of the season for a six-yard loss.• With that sack, Walls set a new career-high for sacks in a season.
• Corey Miller picked up the Vols' second sack of Mariota near the end of the second half for another six yard loss
• It was Miller's first of the season and fourth of his career. He has had one sack in each of his seasons on Rocky Top.
TOUGH LUCK
• Oregon hurt itsself on its third drive of the game. With a first and goal a pass interference call on fourth and goal from the five negated a touchdown and Oregon had to settle for the field goal.• After the first quarter, Oregon had five penalties for 40 yards.
• The Ducks finished with eight penalties for 62 yards.
• After accumulating just two penalties through the first two games, the Vols added four for 40 yards against the Ducks.
MAKING THEIR FIRST APPEARANCES
• Earning their first career starts were WR Josh Smith on offense and DB Vincent Dallas on defense.• Also appearing for the first time in a game this season is senior DL Jacques Smith who was held out of the first games after breaking his thumb during fall camp.
• First-year players WR Marquez North, DB Devaun Swafford, DB Cameron Sutton, WR Josh Smith, DB Lemond Johnson and LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin all saw time against the Ducks.
FIRST TIME SINCE
• In the first half alone, Oregon became the first team since Troy (Nov. 3, 2012) to have two receivers with 100 yard games as Josh Huff (6 rec, 125 yds, 1 TD) and Johnny Mundt (5 rec, 121 Yds, 2 TDs) finished with over 100 yards.• Mariota finished the game with 456 passing yards, a career high for the redshirt-sophomore.
• Mariota is the first Vol to pass for 400+ yards against the Vols since Andre' Woodson had 430 against the Vols for Kentucky in a 4 OT game on Nov. 24, 2007.
• Mariota's 456 yards passing ranks as the third most passing yards all-time against the Vols behind Tim Couch, Kentucky (476, 1997) and Whit Taylor, Vanderbilt (464, 1981)
PALARDY HANDLING ALL OF THE CHORES
• For the third game in a row, senior Michael Palardy handled all of the kicking duties for the Vols• Palardy booted 9 punts in the game, the most against Oregon this season for a 43.6 yard average.
• Palardy also added two extra points for the Vols.
DALLAS RETURNS IT
• Vincent Dallas finished the game with 111 kick return yards, a career high for the sophomore on five returns.ODDS AND ENDS
• Junior tight end Brendan Downs had the second two-catch game of his career against Oregon, a four-yard catch and a 14-yard catch.• His last two-reception game came against Cincinnati on Sept. 10, 2011
UPON FURTHER REVIEW
