Trey Teague
Offensive Line (1994-97)

Trey Teague played 44 games on Tennessee's offensive line from 1994-97, serving as the center for Peyton Manning. An All-SEC first team selection in 1997, Teague helped the Vols win the SEC Championship that year. The Jackson, Tenn., native was drafted in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, where he was a part of their '98 Super Bowl championship squad. Teague spent nine seasons in the NFL playing in 94 games and starting 80. He wore 70 because he couldn't originally get 75, a number he shared in high school with his father.

Why I Wore the Number

"I wore Number #70 because that was my number throughout high school. Number #70 was special to me because Derrick Brooks was my favorite college player. I admired him for always acknowledging that he was a student-athlete. It showed me his commitment to academics. He wore number 10 in college. Since I was a lineman #10 was not an option for me. So, #70 became my number of choice to honor one of my favorite college student-athletes. My favorite thing about wearing Number #70 was probably the best lineman numbers you could wear. It's like the numbers #1, #17, #23, #34, and #80. Plus, you definitely must have some game to wear #70."

Why I Wore the Number

Offensive Tackle (2010-13)

"I chose to wear No. 70 because, growing up I wanted to be Michael Vick (No. 7), but I grew to be 10 times his size, so I had to add a zero to it and make it 70."
