Deon Grant Wins Super Bowl XLVI

Former Vols defensive back Deon Grant became the 31st Tennessee product to win the Super Bowl on Sunday night. He made six tackles as the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots, 21-17.
Grant made five tackles on defense and one on special teams. The 31 former Vols have combined to win 38 Super Bowls. Grant had played in the Super Bowl with the Carolina Panthers, but lost in Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004.
With the Patriots, Jerod Mayo tied for the game-high in tackles with 11 and forced a fumble. Shaun Ellis made two tackles with New England as well.
