Robinson Receives Volleyball Magazine All-America Accolades

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Coming off an incredible 2011 season, Tennessee Lady Vol sophomore Kelsey Robinson picked up another honor after being named to the Volleyball Magazine All-America Second Team.
The outside hitter was previously tabbed an American Volleyball Coaches Association Second Team All-American and became the first Lady Vol ever to be selected as the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
A native of Bartlett, Ill., Robinson was an All-SEC First Team selection, named AVCA All-South Region, honored as the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week on Oct. 11 and earned SEC Player of the Week on four occasions.
Robinson finished the regular season as the conference leader in double-doubles (21), kills per set (4.57) and points (5.19), as she ranked 10th nationally in points and 15th in kills. She also recorded 561 kills in 2011, which was the fourth-highest single-season output in UT history.
An integral part of Tennessee winning its first outright conference championship In program history, Robinson started all 32 matches and played in all 114 sets, along with being named MVP of the Comcast Lady Vol Classic and Virginia Tech Invitational.
The Big Orange finished the season with a 28-4 record and ranked 19th in the country, reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year.
