Coach's Evaluation:
"Yemi bolsters our frontline with brute force. You absolutely cannot move him around the lane. He possesses great instincts on the defensive end and is developing into a formidable shot blocker and rebounder. Yemi has spent countless hours in the gym this offseason working to develop his offensive skills, and the result is his improved 15- to 17-foot shot. His confidence is growing, and the sky is the limit for him."
Echoes of the Past:
Charles Hathaway (1997-2001)
Charles Hathaway (1997-2001)
"Both players possess superb strength and size. Both players have SEC bodies. Yemi is a better athlete and will become a better player as he gains experience. Like Hathaway, Yemi is a force around the basket on both ends of the court. Both are able to finish at the rim and dunk the ball with authority. both also are excellent interior defenders. Yemi has a chance to surpass Charles as a Tennessee basketball player because he is healthier and is a sponge to learning the game. Both play with an enthusiasm that is contagious and are fan favorites."
