#4/4 Tennessee Game Notes: vs. Georgia - SEC Tournament Semifinals, March 5, 2011, Game #32-30-2

The Lady Vols advance to the SEC Tournament Championship game for the 20th time and will be seeking their 15th conference tournament championship. UT has a record of 14-5 all-time in SEC Championship games.
Tennessee claims its 20th 30-win season under Lady Vol head coach Pat Summitt.
Tonight's starters: junior Glory Johnson, junior Lyssi Brewer, junior Shekinna Stricklen, sophomore Taber Spani and freshman Meighan Simmons.
Tennessee jumped out to a 16-2 lead as Georgia missed its first 14 shots and didn't make a field goal until a three-pointer by Khaalidah Miller made the score 16-5 at the 9:52 mark in the first half. UT scored the game's first nine points, capped by a leaner from Stricklen at the 16:09 mark in the first half.
After Spani's three at 13:51, the Lady Vols didn't score for seven minutes and four seconds. Senior Angie Bjorklund hit a jumper at 6:47 to stop the drought. Under 30 seconds later Bjorklund buried a three to put the Lady Vols up 21-9 6:10 before the break.
Simmons' second three put the Lady Vols up 30-13 with three minutes left in the first half.
Five straight points from redshirt junior Vicki Baugh gave the Lady Vols a 58-36 lead with 12:24 left in the game. She made a layup and then 40 seconds later completed a three-point play.
Johnson made back-to-back "and-1" layups to make the score 63-42 with 10:30 left in the contest.

Gives UT 30 wins in a season for the 20th time under Head Coach Pat Summitt.
Gives UT 21 straight wins since its loss at Baylor on Dec. 14. It's the fifth-longest winning streak in Lady Vol history.
Gives UT 32 consecutive wins over SEC teams, dating back to last season's loss at Georgia on Jan. 21, 2010.
Gives UT a 65-17 record all-time record in the SEC Tournament.
Gives UT a 20-8 record all-time in SEC Tournament Semifinal games.
Gives UT an 9-3 record all-time versus Georgia in the SEC Tournament.
Gives UT a 42-15 record all-time versus Georgia.
Gives UT a 445-66 record all-time versus the 12 teams in the SEC.
Head Coach Pat Summitt's career record now stands at 1,067-198 (.843) all time.

The #1-seed Lady Vols will play the winner of tonight's #2-seed Kentucky and #3-seed Vanderbilt matchup for the SEC Tournament Championship at 4:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
Freshman Meighan Simmons
Scored 18 points and dished a game-high five assists, making 7-of-13 field goals and 3-of-6 treys.
Junior Glory Johnson
Scored 14 points and grabbed nine boards, including 12 points and seven boards after halftime.
Senior Angie Bjorklund
Bjorklund made her first two three-point attempts, stretching her consecutive three's made streak to nine, before missing her third attempt. She scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting in just 17 minutes off the bench.
Redshirt junior Kelley Cain
Recorded three blocks in and scored seven points in 17 minutes off the bench.
