THE ARKANSAS MATCH

Following two road wins last weekend, the Lady Vols have put themselves in prime position to win the Southeastern Conference title. With a one match lead over Kentucky, two wins this weekend in Knoxville would assure the Big Orange of at least a share of the conference crown, while three victories would give UT the title outright.
The Lady Vols host the top two teams in the SEC Western Division this weekend, as only one match separates LSU and Arkansas.

Tennessee has now won nine-straight matches, six of which have come on the road. Entering the weekend, UT is a perfect 10-0 at home in the friendly confines of Thompson-Boling Arena.
UT is 8-2 in its last 10 meetings versus Arkansas, as it owns an eight-match winning streak over the Razorbacks. .

BACK AT HOME

With the win over Ole Miss last Friday, Tennessee has won at least 15 SEC matches in each of the last the last four seasons. UT finished with 15 in both 2008 and 2010 and 16 in 2009. Rob Patrick is 172-99 over his career in the SEC. In 13 of his 15 seasons, he led the Lady Vols to a .500 or better mark against the conference. In 2004, Tennessee roared through the conference with a 15-1 record, tying for first in the SEC and winning the SEC Tournament a week later.
The Lady Vols finished off the first half of their SEC double round-robin schedule in first place with a 9-1 mark, which marked their best record at the half way point since the conference went to the format in 2006.
Sunday's match against LSU will be televised on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS). The Orange and White have been terrific on TV, winning 12 of their last 15 televised matches.
