THE FLORIDA MATCH

Orange Out the Gators! Show your support of the Lady Vols and wear orange to the match on Friday against Florida. All tickets are just $1.
Friday's match against the Gators features the top two teams in the Southeastern Conference, as both the Lady Vols and UF have only one conference loss this season.

Florida enters Friday's match on a roll, as UF has not lost a set since the Lady Vols won the fifth set and the match in Gainesville on Sept. 25.
After being on the road for eight SEC matches already this season, six of UT's last eight conference matches will be home at Thompson-Boling Arena.

BACK HOME FOR TWO

Tennessee has won at least 15 SEC matches each of the last three seasons leading up to 2011, finishing with 15 in 2008 and 2010 and 16 in 2009. Rob Patrick is 164-98 in his career in the SEC. In 13 of his 15 seasons, he led the Lady Vols to a .500 or better record against the conference. In 2004, Tennessee roared through the conference with a 15-1 record, tying for first in the SEC and winning the SEC Tournament a week later.
The Lady Vols finished off the first half of their SEC double round-robin schedule in first place with a 9-1 mark, which is their best record at the half way point since the conference went to the format in 2006.
When UT head football coach Derek Dooley headed out of the Neyland Stadium tunnel in orange pants for the season-opener against Montana, he created a buzz around Knoxville, and even nationally. However, what some may not know is that Lady Vol head volleyball coach Rob Patrick had already donned the orange pants a year ago against Kentucky on Sept. 30, 2010. The match was televised on ESPNU and the Lady Vols swept the Wildcats. .
