Fago Reaches Final in Alabama

Tennessee senior Matteo Fago recorded a straight-set victory Saturday to advance to the final in the top flight at the Crimson Tide Fall Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Fago defeated Indiana's Josh McTaggart 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals.
The native of Ceprano, Italy, faces 60th-ranked Akash Muppidi of Boston College in the championship match.
Fago has a 9-2 record this fall and is 4-1 against ranked opponents.
The last final he reached was the championship of the 2009 Georgia Tech Fall Tournament, where he lost to teammate Rhyne Williams.
