KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee volleyball team is scheduled to be featured on national television a total of four times this season, including a pair of appearances on ESPNU and one each on both FOX Sports South and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS).
Fans of the Lady Vols will have their first chance to see their team on the tube on Sept. 27 when Ole Miss makes the trip to Rocky Top for a 5 p.m. showdown at Thompson-Boling Arena. That contest will be broadcast on ESPNU. Tennessee will be on the same channel at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when it takes on Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
The Big Orange will return to the airwaves at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 30 on FOX Sports South against Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss. UT's final television appearance will be on CSS on Sunday, Nov. 15 in Athens, Ga., against Georgia.
A total of 16 SEC volleyball matches will be broadcast this season under the league's new television deal with ESPN. That more than triples the number of contests that were televised in 2008 and is the most in conference history. All matches will be broadcast live.
