Super Bowl Champion Tomlin Headlines Spring Coaches Clinic

Tennessee's Spring Coaches Clinic has gone from featuring simply an elite speakers' lineup straight to the Super Bowl.
Already dotted with headliners such as Vols head coach Lane Kiffin, pro football legend Monte Kiffin, offensive guru Jim Chaney and defensive line specialist Ed Orgeron, the clinic's addition of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin only certifies the expectations that April 2-4 will be quite a weekend of football in Knoxville.
"I was already excited about our new coaching staff's chance to meet and interact with all the coaches who will be attending our first clinic here at Tennessee," Lane Kiffin said. "But to add the Super Bowl champion head coach, Mike Tomlin, is something no coach will want to miss."
Kiffin said the clinic begins the afternoon of April 2 so participants can observe Tennessee's Thursday workout at Haslam Field. The Vols head coach then is the featured speaker that night, before Friday's schedule calls on the all-star lineup that is UT's newly-assembled assistant coaching staff -- including Monte Kiffin.
Saturday morning, Tomlin takes center stage and then the Vols take to Neyland Stadium for a live scrimmage.
"Our spring practice is going to be an exciting time," Kiffin said. "To have Coach Tomlin headline our coaches clinic right in the heart of spring practice -- let's just say it's a great time to be focused on Tennessee football."

VOLS SET SPRING FOOTBALL PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Tennessee's first spring practice under head coach Lane Kiffin begins March 10 and includes 15 practice dates. The schedule culminates with the annual Dish Network Orange and White Game, set for April 18 with a 3 p.m. kickoff at Neyland Stadium.
