With the NCAA Division I-A opener less than a week away, summer is coming to an end. A handful of Sporting News Today's 23 player columnists offered their summer highlights.
"Summer vacation, huh? I was taking two political science classes this summer, and was working out with the team. I've been personally working on learning this new offense inside and out, and staying in the film room as much as I can, and getting myself more mentally and physically prepared than I've ever been. Outside of football, I spent time hanging out with my roommates and my teammates, playing a little Xbox. Me and one of my roommates-defensive end Wes Brown-we've got Tiger Woods. We play with one of his buddies back home. I've been playing NCAA Football since it came out. I haven't played as myself, though. I usually let whoever I'm playing pick first and go off whoever they pick and get an even team."
