Former Vols in professional baseball update

Last week???s MLB highlights from former Tennessee players in professional baseball include a strong offensive performance by one and solid start for another. Below are the best performances from former Vols during last week???s action.
??? J.P. Arencibia (2005-07) has continued to hit well since his promotion to the Class-AA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. His 19 combined homers and 80 combined RBI from Dunedin/New Hampshire leads the Toronto Blue Jays organization. On July 11th, Arencibia went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs batted in but the Fisher Cats fell 19-5 at the hands of the Connecticut Defenders. He followed that on July 14th with a 3-for-4 performance. On Sunday, he went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI on two home runs. Those two home runs were his seventh and eighth of the season.
??? Julio Borbon (2005-07) is batting .280 with 23 hits, four doubles, one home run and seven RBI in 19 games at the Class-AA affiliate Frisco Roughriders. On Friday, Borbon went had a 3-for-4 performance as the Roughriders against the Corpus Christi Hooks and former Vol Eli Iorg.
??? Eli Iorg (2005-06) is batting .249 with 41 runs, 84 hits, 14 doubles, nine home runs and 40 RBI in 92 games this season for the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Class-AA affiliate of the Houston Astros. In Saturday???s game against the Roughriders Iorg went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in a 4-9 loss.
??? Luke Hochevar (2003-05) pitched a five-hit, no walk performance on July 11th when he beat the Seattle Mariners. Earned his sixth win of the season and now carries a 6-7 record with a 5.10 ERA. That win against the Mariners was what Hochevar called his best start of the season. He recorded four strike outs. Read a story about Hoechevar???s work this season here.
