Under the Lights: UT Football - Tuesday on SportSouth
May 16, 2008 | Football
SportSouth announces the debut of Under the Lights: Tennessee Football, an all-access, behind-the-scenes special spotlighting the University of Tennessee football program. SportSouth???s cameras follow head coach Phillip Fulmer, offensive coordinator Dave Clawson and defensive coordinator John Chavis who get ???Mic???d up??? during full-contact practices and the Volunteers??? 2008 Orange and White spring football game.
???Under The Lights: Tennessee Football is another in SportSouth???s series of original programs that embeds viewers in places that historically only the athletes, coaches and a select few with media credentials have experienced,??? said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager of FSN South and SportSouth. ???This SportSouth original program enables Volunteer fans across the Southeast to witness the conversations in the huddle, on the sidelines and in the locker rooms.???
Under the Lights: Tennessee Football debuts Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 p.m. ET on SportSouth and re-airs on Monday, May 26 at 10:30 p.m. ET, Friday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. ET and Saturday, May 31 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Head football coach Phillip Fulmer on spring practice:
???To me spring practice is the best time of year there is. It???s like putting a puzzle together almost every spring; taking a young player to a level that he???s never been to, and trying to teach him to play in the Southeastern Conference.???
Offensive Coordinator Dave Clawson on Tennessee???s new offensive line-up:
???Installing an offense is a very painstaking process???Every day a new situation comes up that we haven???t hit before, or we run a play against a look that we haven???t seen before, and every time that happens it is a learning opportunity and it is a chance to get better.???
Fulmer on the importance of the Orange and White game:
???I think it???s a really important game for us because it gives us a chance to have one big scrimmage and the quarterbacks and young guys that haven???t played have a chance to play in front of a lot of people.???
