Former Vols in pro baseball update

Last week???s MLB highlights from former Tennessee players in professional baseball include a call-up to the majors and a new home for one Vol. Below are the best performances from former Vols during last week???s action.
?? R.A. Dickey (1994-96) was called up from Class-AAA Tacoma to join the Seattle Mariners on Monday. Dickey was the last player cut from the Mariners roster after spring training and was their most effective pitcher during the spring. The knuckleballer had a 2.25 ERA in seven outings this spring.
?? Jordan Czarniecki (2002-03) signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Friday and joined the Arkansas Travelers roster. The Travelers are the team???s Class-AA affiliate. Czarniecki played in the Colorado Rockies organization for the last five years before being released following spring training. He helped lead the Class-AA Tulsa Drillers to first-half division titles in each of the past two seasons, batting .278 with a career-best 13 homers and 58 RBI last year.
?? J.P. Arencibia (2005-07) went 4-for-4 with a run, a double and three RBI in the Class-A Dunedin Blue Jays??? 7-4 win over the Fort Myers Miracle on April 7. Arencibia is hitting .257 through nine games this season with two home runs and 10 RBI.
?? Josh Alley (2003-05) went 2-for-4 on Sunday with a walk and a stolen base in the San Antonio Missions??? 8-6 loss to the Tulsa Drillers. Alley is hitting .545 with six hits, a double, one RBI, has walked four times and has collected three stolen bases in five games this season.
