- The 2014 NCAA Final Four has been awarded to Nashville. Head Coach Pat Summitt said "I'm thrilled for the state of Tennessee and specifically the city of Nashville for being awarded an NCAA Final Four Championship. It speaks volumes about the great sports fans we have in Tennessee and the appeal of the city of Nashville. I am confident the fans will show up in droves and provide for an unbelievable atmosphere. Nashville has hosted the SEC Tournament three times and it is always the finest run event. It is so great to have the Final Four back in Tennessee after Knoxville hosted the 1990 Final Four."
