Tennessee has 14 former players on teams that qualified for the playoffs, but just six of them played in wild card games.?? Below are the best performances from former Vols during the weekend.
?????Arron Sears rebounded from an injury to start his 17th game of the season at left guard for Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Bucs fell 24-14 to the Giants and finished the season 10-7. Sears is the first former Vol to start every game in his rookie season since Peyton Manning in 1998.
?????Defensive tackle John Henderson posted a sack in Jacksonville???s 31-29 win over the Steelers on Saturday night. Henderson has anchored the Jagaurs defensive line this season with 39 tackles and three sacks. The Jaguars advance to the divisional round and take on the Patriots Saturday night.
?????Albert Haynesworth notched five tackles for the Titans in their 17-6 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. The Titans held the NFL???s leading rusher, LaDainian Tomlinson, to just 42 yards on the ground but couldn???t stop the San Diego passing attack in the second half. Haynesworth finished the season with 45 tackles and six sacks for the 10-7 Titans.
?????Deon Grant made six tackles and broke up two passes in Seattle???s 35-14 win over Washington on Saturday. Grant has 83 tackles and 12 passes defensed this season. The Seahawks take on Green Bay in the divisional round next weekend.
?????Giants safety Gibril Wilson posted four stops in New York???s 24-14 win over Tampa Bay. Wilson is second on the team with 96 tackles this season. The Giants travel to Dallas for a divisional round game next weekend.
