Height: 6-1
Weight: 185
Hometown: Tatum, Texas
High School: Tatum
There has been some debate concerning the spelling and pronunciation of your name. Can you set the record straight?
???It???s Denarius. I had gone my whole life with it spelled Darnius, but my senior year of high school I got it changed.???
Can you talk about your relationship with Lennon Creer?
???We???ve been playing football together since we were little, from the fourth grade on up. We had the same colleges recruiting us, so we thought it would be fun to keep playing together.???
Where do you sit in the race to be one of the wide receivers in the playing rotation?
???It???s a pretty tight race. All the receivers here are talented, and we???ve all been told we have a chance to play, freshmen through seniors. I???m going to keep coming out and giving it my all.???
Do you change your approach to the scrimmages because the wide receiver positions are up for grabs?
???I think it is more of an opportunity than a practice for all of the receivers. We get the chance to show the coaches what we???ve got and convince them to throw the ball to us. I didn???t feel too good about the first scrimmage, some of the guys stepped up and I didn???t.???
You???re going to run track for the Vols in the spring. Do you think being a two-sport athlete will make college life more challenging for you?
???I???m hopefully going be a hurdler. I welcome the challenge of having to work in two sports. But right now, I don???t feel like it will be too big a deal for me.???
Who are some pro athletes you look up to?
???I was impressed by the way Calvin Johnson and Ted Ginn Jr. played in college, so I would have to say those two right now.???
Do you have any nicknames?
???They call me D-mo.???
