You also played basketball and baseball in high school. Which of the three sports was your favorite?
???I really didn???t have a favorite. I enjoyed playing all three sports a lot. I was told that I would have had a chance to play baseball in college had I put as much effort into it as I did football. When football came into play, it kind of dominated my time.???
What has been your biggest challenge since coming to college?
???I would say that the change in the speed of the game. It also took some time for me to adjust to the different coaching styles.???
What made you decide to sign with a team so close to home?
???I wanted the chance to come to Tennessee and play football. It has always been a dream of mine, something I wanted to do. I got the chance, so I wasn???t going to pass it up.???
Has Tennessee lived up to your expectations so far?
???They always talked about the hard work, and that is certainly true. But it is going to pay off in the end. At times, things get hard and I get discouraged, but I am confident it will pay off.???
Who have you gotten to know on the team?
???It has mostly been the freshmen. Demont?? Bolden has kind of taken me under his wing. Jonathan Crompton and Jacques McClendon have been really helpful to me.???
Do you have any nicknames?
???I get called J-Hawk. My parents call me Boogie. When I was a little, I used to dance a lot, so they gave me that nickname.???
Are you superstitious?
???I am a little bit. In high school, if I had a good game, I would make sure and repeat my pregame routine the next week. But I never really stuck to it. If I didn???t have as good a game the next time, I would just forget about it.???
