You obviously adjusted to the college game quickly in the spring, moving into a backup role at both DB spots. How were you able to adjust so quickly?
???It was about adapting to the speed of the game. That was the main thing. After that, it is about performing and being consistent. I have to carry that into the fall now. I proved I can play, I just have to keep it up.???
You had a lot of success as a punt returner in high school. Do you want to give that a shot at this level?
???I definitely wouldn???t turn down the opportunity. I???d love to do that in the future. I???ll get on the field and help out any way I can.???
Have you gotten a nickname from your teammates?
???After a few practices, thy started calling me ???Little Champ Bailey.??? I kind of like it. I???ve used it a few places.???
You also played basketball and ran track in high school. Which sport was your favorite?
???Basketball was actually my favorite sport. Track was more of a reason for me to keep running in the spring. I started playing basketball in middle school, but didn???t pick up track until high school.???
What the best thing you have experienced about Tennessee football so far?
???The fans are crazy. In Florida, you have to be the main guy to get this kind of attention. Here, everybody shows you love even if you aren???t a big time player. You don???t have to be an Erik Ainge or Arian Foster to get some love.???
Did you get a chance to bond with the four other freshmen who went through spring drills?
???I roomed with Todd Campbell. He told me when we first got to campus that he couldn???t wait to get on the field. He was telling me what moves he was going to put on me. It was definitely competitive, but in a fun way. I spent a lot of time with Donald Langley too. He and I had a class together.???
Did you bring anything to Knoxville to remind you of home?
???My mom likes to write poems. She wrote me a poem before I left about how she felt watching me grow up. I framed it, and I read it just about every day.???
