Volunteer Football Begins Preseason Media Blitz
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ??? Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer, quarterback Erik Ainge and linebacker Jerod Mayo travel to Hoover, Ala., Friday to take part in SEC media days at the Wynfrey Hotel. The Vols media session begins at 10:40 a.m. CT and concludes at 12:50 p.m. Fulmer???s press conference is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. with Ainge and Mayo scheduled to meet the media following him at 12:20 p.m.
Prior to traveling to Hoover, the Vols contingent will take part in the Davidson County All Sports Picnic on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT. The event is being held at the Lipscomb University Arena in Nashville. Fulmer, Pat Summitt and former UT basketball player Dane Bradshaw will speak at the picnic.
Tennessee???s fall media day is scheduled for Aug. 4 in the Wolf-Kaplan Center located next to the Tennessee locker room at Neyland Stadium. Fulmer addresses the media at 9 a.m. ET, and selected players are available following him at 9:45 a.m. A media photo session begins at 10:15 a.m.
The football team reports Aug. 2 and will practice for the first time at 3:40 p.m. on Aug. 3.
