KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Members of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball team visited the East Tennessee Children's Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. The 2007 NCAA Champions brought their winning smiles to many young boys and girls.
Lady Vol assistant coach Nikki Caldwell accompanied the team on its visit. "You think about fan support and how many people come out to see the Lady Vols, but there are those fans who are unable to get out to see a game; it puts a lot of things in perspective."
The team joined one young man on his guitar in a round of songs and visited with several other patients.
Nicky Anosike, Shannon Bobbitt, Alberta Auguste, Cait McMahan and Alex Fuller were among those in attendance as the rest of the student-athletes on the team had final exam obligations.
