Conkic was a National Champion in 18 and under and also a two-time European team champion. The future Vol was born May 6, 1987, and is the son of Milan and Judit Conkic. His dad also serves as his tennis coach. Conkic cited Tennessee's tradition and because they have a very good team as why he chose the Volunteers.
"Boris has tremendous international experience," Winterbotham said. "He will be able to make an immediate impact against the best players in the country. We're very excited about him and believe he is one of the best recruits Tennessee tennis has had.
Lang is from Memphis and has indicated to the Vol coaching staff that he will walk-on to the team in the fall. Lang is ranked as a five-star recruit and the 66th-best senior prospect in America according to tennisrecruiting.net. "We have a commitment to getting the best players in Tennessee and William is an example of that," Winterbotham said. "We're excited that William chose our program. He has a belief that we will be able to develop his tennis and he has a desire to be a great tennis player. We believe William will be able to make an impact on our program next season.
