The Week 12 highlights from former Tennessee players in the NFL include big Thanksgiving Day efforts from Peyton Manning and Jason Witten. Below are the best performances from former Vols during the weekend???s action.
?????Jamal Lewis continued his strong play for the Browns this week, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries in Cleveland???s 27-17 win over Houston. In the last two games, Lewis has rushed for 226 yards and two scores while catching seven passes for 43 yards. He has 741 rushing yards and eight touchdowns through 10 games this season.
?????Peyton Manning returns to the highlights after a four-week hiatus, completing 22 of 37 passes for 272 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the Colts??? 31-13 win over the Falcons on Thursday night. Manning has endured the last five games without his favorite receiver, Marvin Harrison, but has the Colts at 9-2 anyway.
?????Jason Witten caught just four passes for 54 yards this week, but one of those catches was for a touchdown in Dallas??? 34-3 rout of the Jets on Thursday. Witten has already tied his career high for touchdowns in a season with six, and he needs 29 receptions and 231 yards in the Cowboys??? five remaining regular-season games and any playoff games to set career highs in those categories.
?????Omar Gaither and the Eagles gave undefeated New England their best game of the season Sunday night but still fell short, 31-28. Gaither posted a game-high 12 tackles in the losing effort.
?????Deon Grant made six tackles in the Seahawks 24-19 win over the Rams on Sunday. Grant has 66 stops on the season for 7-4 Seattle.
