UT is 9-2 in games played on Nov. 26. The Lady Vols are 5-1 at home, 2-0 on the road and 2-1 on neutral courts. The last time out on Nov. 26, the Lady Vols defeated MTSU, 88-64, at home in 2006.
LOOKING BACK
Last year at this time, the Lady Vols were 5-0 on the season after defeating Middle Tennessee, 88-64, in Knoxville on Nov. 26.

A record 26 (of 29) Lady Vol regular season games are slated for television this season. Upcoming TV games include: Louisiana Tech (SportSouth) and North Carolina (ESPN2). On the fl ipside, the Lady Vols then hit the road for four consecutive road games from Dec. 19 until Jan. 5.
SEASON TICKET UPDATE
As of Nov. 10, 2007, the Lady Vols had sold a record 11,018 full season ticket packages and 466 Coca-Cola Six Pack packages (six games: UNC, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Rutgers, LSU and Florida). With the new capacity of 21,678 at Thompson-Boling Arena, more than one-half of the tickets have been already sold to UT???s 17 home games.
THE 4-1-1 ON THE LADY TECHSTERS
In their last outing, Louisiana Tech (2-1) overcame poor free throw shooting to outlast Memphis 82-77 in the title game of the 2007 Lady Tiger Thanksgiving Classic at Elma Roane Fieldhouse on Nov. 24. Tech led 75- 62 on a three-pointer by Nastassja Levingston at the 5:26 mark of the second half before Memphis made a mad rush at cutting the defi - cit to 79-77 on a driving layup by Paris Leonard with 00:33 seconds left. However, LTU???s Nastassja Levingston hit 1-of-2 free throws and all-tournament team member Tarkeisha Wysinger made two more with 16.8 to play giving the Lady Techsters the championship title. JoKeirra Sneed, who was also named tournament team after recording double doubles in both wins, scored 14 of her game-high 19 points in the fi rst half as Tech shot 49 percent (17-35) from the fi eld. Levingston was huge for Tech down the stretch, scoring 13 of Tech???s fi nal 21 points of the game, including numerous jumpers answering Memphis buckets. Tech outrebounded the Tigers 47-30 in the game but hit only 15-of-28 free throws.
LAST MEETING WITH LTU
Louisiana Tech had no answer for Tennessee???s defensive pressure as the fourthranked Lady Vols forced 19 turnovers in the fi rst half and beat longtime rival Louisiana Tech 71-50 on Nov. 28, 2006 in Ruston. Tennessee now holds a 22-17 edge in the 39- game series and has claimed each of the last seven meetings. Dominique Redding led Tennessee with a career high 13 points. Alberta Auguste added 11 points and eight steals while Sidney Spencer had 10 points on perfect shooting from beyond the arc. Auguste???s eight thefts tie for the fourth most single-game steals by a UT player. Alexis Hornbuckle forced six steals and grabbed eight rebounds on the night. The Lady Vols (6-0) built a 42-15 halftime advantage and cruised the rest of the game. Tech???s combination of turnovers and poor shooting (6-of-28) in the fi rst 20 minutes of play were simply too much to overcome as Tennessee jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Candace Parker had 10 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots - fi ve in the fi rst half. She reached the 100-block plateau for her career on her fourth stuff, becoming one of only eight alltime Lady Vols to accomplish that feat. Tennessee knocked away 10 LTU shot attempts, tying the ninth-most single-game blocks by a UT team. Even when the Lady Vols weren???t blocking shots they were forcing altered shots as Tech hit just 30 percent from the fi eld (18- of-61) for the game. On the plus side, Tech outrebounded Tennessee 46-37, including 23 on the offensive glass. Down by 27 at the half, the Lady Techsters came out and outscored Tennessee 35-29 over the fi nal 20 minutes of action. The Lady Vols shot just 57.1 percent from the line.
FOND MEMORY VS. TECH
The Lady Vols claimed their fi rst NCAA title in 1987 with a 67-44 drubbing of the Lady Techsters at the Final Four in Austin, Texas.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Lady Vols have narrowly outscored the Lady Techsters 70.2 to 68.6 in their 39- game series......Despite the historical parity evidenced by a slim 22-17 series lead, Tennessee obliterated the Lady Techsters with stifl ing defense, 60-35, in Ruston, La., on Dec. 4, 2002???The 35 points scored by La Tech???s was their lowest total ever and the 25-point margin of defeat was its worst setback in Thomas Assembly Center...
BEEN ON OUR DANCE CARD
Tennessee and Louisiana Tech are not NCAA postseason strangers. The Lady Vols and the Lady Techsters have been attending the Final Four on a pretty regular basis since 1982. In fact, there have been just fi ve Final Fours alltime not attended by UT or La Tech ??? 1985, 1992, 1993, 2001 and 2006. Tennessee and Tech have attended six Big Dances together ??? 1982, 1984, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1998. In fact, the Lady Vols celebrated their fi rst NCAA Championship in 1987 with a 67-44 victory over the Lady Techsters and its NCAA title in 1998 with a 93-75 win over the Techsters.
WE ENJOYED THE 90s AND NOW THE 00s
It???s hard to believe that the Tennessee versus Louisiana Tech series has spanned into four decades -- the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. If you ask the Lady Vols which decade they???ve enjoyed the most it would be the 90???s where Tennessee fi nally found a little winning dominance over the Techsters with a 10-4 record after suffering through the 80???s (4-11) and the 70???s (1- 2). UT???s 21st century record stands at 6-0 as the Lady Vols now lead the series, 21-17.
TECH HAD TO GET BY UT FOR ITS TWO NCAA TITLES
Louisiana Tech has been crowned NCAA Champions twice since 1982. On both occasions, the Lady Techsters had to get by Tennessee for their two titles. In 1982, Tech beat the Lady Vols, 69-46, in the semifi nals in Norfolk, Va. In 1988, the defending NCAA Champion Lady Vols were defeated by Tech, 68-59, in the semifi nals in Tacoma, Wash. In 1994, Tech knocked the Lady Vols off in the semifi nals of the Mideast Regionals, 71-68. The Lady Techsters would have won the NCAA title that year but a buzzer-beater trey by North Carolina???s Charlotte Smith upset them, 60-59.
PARKER--SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tennessee junior Candace Parker was tabbed for SEC Player of the Week honors on Nov. 19. She led the top-rated Lady Vols to victories over #8 Oklahoma and #21 Texas to keep her team undefeated on the season. The Naperville, Ill., native averaged 24.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest in the two games against. Parker registered 28 points, 15 rebounds and fi ve blocks against Oklahoma on Nov. 15. In the Texas game on Nov. 18, the 6-4, she scored the fi rst 11 points of the game for Tennessee. This marks the sixth time Parker has earned SEC Player of the Week honors and the 10th time overall that she has garnered a weekly award from the SEC. She picked up SEC Freshman of the Week on four occasions during her rookie campaign in 2005-06.
SUMMITT HAS JUST 49 TO GO
UT head basketball coach Pat Summitt is now just 49 wins away from 1,000 career victories.
THREE RANKED TEAMS IN A ROW
The meeting at #16/17th-ranked West Virginia marked the Lady Vols third consecutive contest versus a ranked opponent this season. UT has also played #9/8 Oklahoma and #21/22-ranked Texas. Next week, UT takes on #5/4 North Carolina in Knoxville.
BUMPS AND BRUISES
Several Lady Vols have been nicked up already this season and qualify for ???Moshak???s Medical Moments.??? Alberta Auguste-Calf contusion in preseason; missed both exhibition games. Kelley Cain- Concussion in preseason; some knee soreness and swelling. Missed UTC, Oklahoma,Texas and WVU games. Cait McMahan-rehabing from articular cartilage surgery on June 6. Redshirt. Candace Parker-nursed a sore shoulder -- banged up in the USA game.
KEEP AN EYE ON REBOUNDING
The past two seasons, the Lady Vols have reset new all-time low rebounding marks. The 2007 NCAA Champs hold the distinction as the worst UT rebounding team of all-time with just 38.4 rpg. Oklahoma had a fi eld day on the boards against the Lady Vols outrebounding UT, 44-33. UT is averaging an anemic 39.0 rpg thru four games and giving up 37.0 rpg to the opposition.
GET THIS...
It???s a fact that Tennessee has produced some of the greatest players ever in women???s collegiate basketball. It???s a little known fact that there has only been one double-fi gure rebounder in the history of the program -- Olympian and Kodak All- American Trish Roberts. Roberts hauled in 14.2 rpg (467 total) in her only season as a Lady Vol in 1976-77. She also claimed scoring honors with 29.9 ppg (987 points).
PARKER IS A FOUL MAGNET
UT junior All-American Candace Parker continues to be the player the opposition loves to foul. This season, she has already been on the receiving end of 32 of the opposition???s 68 total fouls committed against the Lady Vols. Oklahoma is the leader in the club house with a record high 14 fouls committed while trying to stop Parker. Last season, in the bizarre stat category, Parker attracted 216 fouls from opponents (including a season-high 12 called hacks in one contest) and 32% of the total 677 fouls committed by the opposition against UT in 2006-07.
CIRCUS ATMOSPHERE
The Lady Vols once again have the ???circus appeal??? on the road. At both road sites this season, the stands were full of orange. UT???s game versus WVU in Charleston drew a new record of 10,677 -- the largest crowd ever to see a women???s basketball game in the state of West Virginia.
DEPAUL GAME IS SOLD-OUT!
All 3,000 tickets for the Tennessee vs. DePaul game at McGrath Arena in Chicago
playing court in the Thompson-Boling Arena on the University of Tennessee campus donned a new look for the 2005-06 season. After Lady Vol coach Pat Summitt passed Dean Smith for most NCAA collegiate basketball wins of all-time with a 75-54 win over Purdue on Mar. 22, 2005, UT named the TBA court, ???The Summitt.??? The fl oor had a complete overhaul with permanent logos of both the Lady Vols and Vols painted directly in front of the scorer???s table; the free throw lanes were painted orange with ???SEC??? reversed out; the giant jump circle/mid-court TENNESSEE was given a new brighter color scheme, and ???The Summitt,??? Coach Summitt???s actual signature adorns the sidelines opposite the team benches.ON OUR WAY TO 300 WINS
Tennessee recorded its 200th win in Thompson-Boling Arena when the Lady Vols defeated the University of Southern California on Nov. 18, 2001, 106-66. UT has now amassed a 282-17 (.943) record since the Orange and White moved into the Thompson- Boling Arena to start the 1987-88 season 20-years ago. Along the way, the Lady Vols have produced nine fl awless home records in 1988-89 (15-0), 1991-92 (14-0), 1992-93 (13-0), 1993-94 (15-0), 1994-95 (15-0), 1997-98 (16-0), 1998-99 (14-0), 2000-01 (15-0) and 2002-03 (16-0). UT also registered an NCAA record 69-game home court-winning streak from Feb. 1, 1991 thru Jan. 2, 1996.
JUST 17 LOSSES
The Tennessee Lady Vols rarely lose at home. In fact, since moving to the Thompson- Boling Arena for the 1987-88 campaign, UT has lost two games in one season just six times. UT lost two games in TBA during the inaugural 1987-88 campaign, 1996-97, 1999-00, 2001-02, 2003-04 and the 2005-06 seasons. The 17 all-time losses at Thompson- Boling Arena have come at the hands of just nine teams: Florida (2006), LSU (2006), Duke (2004 and 2007), Connecticut (2004, 2002, 2000, 1996), Louisiana Tech (1999, 1989), Georgia (1996, 1991), Texas (2003, 2002, 1987), Stanford (1996) and Auburn (1988).
HOME SWEET HOME ???- OVER 400 HOME WINS ALL-TIME
The victory over Georgia on Jan. 31, 2005, was the Lady Vols 400th home win since Pat Summitt took over as head coach in 1974. Summitt has won 91.4 percent of all home games in 34 years producing a 433-42 overall record. Home losses (in the Summitt era) include: six in Alumni Gym from 1974-76; 18 in Stokely Athletics Center from 1976-87; and 17 in Thompson-Boling Arena since 1987.
100 POINT GAMES
Since 1974, the Lady Vols have gone over the century mark 72 times. Last season, UT eclipsed 100 points in the opening game of the season against UT-Chattanooga with 102 points. The 1987-88 team hit triple digits in seven games to lead the NCAA.
IN OVERTIME
The Lady Vols are 25-13 all-time in overtime games. The most OT games in a year was tied in 2003-04 with four as the Lady Vols went 3-1 in overtime losing to Georgia, 68-66, and defeating Auburn, 68-61, DePaul, 96-89, and Stanford, 70-66. It tied the mark set in 1996-97, when the Lady Vols were 3-1 in overtime contests losing to Georgia, 94-93, and defeating Texas, 68-65, Vanderbilt, 92-79 and LSU, 100-99. UT???s 22 points in the OT against Florida (2-3-05), was the most ever scored by the Lady Vols in a single overtime. UT???s most recent OT affair was a 75-68 win over Arkansas on Feb. 22, 2007.
LADY VOL STREAKS
The last time the Lady Vols lost at home was against Duke, 74-70, on Jan. 22, 2007, -- since then, UT has won seven home games. The last time UT lost on the road was on Dec. 3, 2006 at UNC, since then, UT is 11-0 on the road. The last time the Lady Vols lost on a neutral court was against LSU, 63-54, in the SEC semis game on Mar. 3, 2007. Since that time, UT is 7-0 on a neutral court.
