Legends Classic Continues Versus PV A&M
- Tennessee meets the Prairie View A&M Panthers in the second round of regional competition of the 2007 Legends Classic. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Thompson-Boling Arena.
- Regardless of Friday???s result, the Vols will advance to Newark, N.J., to play West Virginia in championship round competition Nov. 23 at the Prudential Center. UT will then meet either New Mexico State or Texas on Nov. 24.
- UT opened play in the Legends Classic with a 101-44 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Nov. 14. The Boll Weevils were held to just 25 percent shooting, including 14.3 percent (4-of-28) in the second half. Meanwhile the Vols shot 60 percent from the field and recorded 13 steals off 26 UAM turnovers. Tyler Smith led five Vols in double figure scoring with 15 points to go with a game-high three blocks.
- JaJuan Smith is leading the Vols with 14.5 points per game through UT???s first two contests. The senior is shooting 58.8 percent from the field and leads the Vols with seven steals this season. Ramar Smith is adding 13.0 points on 57.1 percent shooting. Tyler Smith and Wayne Chism are each averaging 12.0 points.
- Through two games, Tennessee is averaging 90.5 points per game on 53.1 percent shooting from the field. Defensively the Vols are registering 11.5 steals off 24.5 opponent turnovers per game.
- Prairie View A&M enters Friday???s game with a 1-1 record after defeating Schreiner University 88-59 Wednesday night. Dorian McDaniel led the Panthers with a game-high 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field.

Each school is given one exemption from the SEC exclusive window.?? UT has two remaining non-TV games, Friday's and February 20th vs. Auburn.?? Since both games fall into the SEC exclusive window UT has opted to try to use the exemption for the Auburn game.
