When he appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated???s College Basketball Preview issue, Chris Lofton became the first Tennessee basketball player featured on the cover of the magazine since Ernie Grunfeld and Bernard King were featured on Feb 9, 1976 ... This year???s preview issue was one of five covers nationally that featured some of the top rivalries across the country ... Lofton appeared with Memphis??? Chris Douglas-Roberts on the cover ... It is actually the second time Lofton has appeared on the cover of the magazine, his photo was also one of many on SI???s NCAA Tournament guide issue in March 2006.
