The Week 7 highlights from former Tennessee players in the NFL include another big play from Donte Stallworth and continued production from Jason Witten and Omar Gaither. Below are the best performances from former Vols during the weekend???s action.
?????Donte Stallworth caught the first of six Tom Brady touchdown passes early in New England???s 49-28 rout of the Dolphins on Sunday. Stallworth finished the game with three catches for 51 yards. Though he got off to a slow start, Stallworth has become a big-play threat for the Patriots. He has a touchdown reception of at least 30 yards in each of the last three games.
?????Jason Witten continues to be a favorite target for Tony Romo in Dallas. Witten caught 10 passes for 86 yards in the Cowboys??? 24-14 win over Minnesota on Sunday. Through seven games, Witten is second among tight ends with 42 receptions and 540 receiving yards.
?????Though Philadelphia fell 19-16 to the Bears on Sunday, Omar Gaither tied for the team lead with seven tackles and a pass defense. Gaither is also tied for the team lead on the season with 37 stops.
?????Deon Grant made two tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up another in Seattle???s 33-6 win over the Rams on Sunday. Grant has 34 tackles, three pass break-ups and two interceptions this season.
?????Rookie Update:?? Guard Arron Sears has started all seven games this season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ??? Defensive tackle Turk McBride has played in all seven games for the Kansas City Chiefs, posting a total of five tackles and one sack?? ??? Cornerback Jonathan Wade has seen action in all seven games for St. Louis and has made nine tackles ??? Linebacker Marvin Mitchell has spent time on the practice squad and the active roster for the Saints, registering two tackles in limited action thus far this season.
