Tennessee's fourth practice of the spring included a 60-play scrimmage Tuesday as the Vols began their second week of work at Haslam Field. UT's coaching staff hopes sessions like Tuesday serve as a foundation.
"It's about seeing who is going to give us effort and who will improve technique-wise,. head coach Phillip Fulmer said. .We have lots of young guys who need to understand what it takes to play at this level. The constructive criticism is going to be crucial toward improvements we can make before the next practice."
The Vols practice again Thursday before staging their first full scrimmage of the spring Saturday at Neyland Stadium. In the meantime, Fulmer and his staff keep searching for those key ingredients.
"I'm looking for guys who will fight. Their time studying the tape to fully understand what is expected is vital, as is the team taking a bigger step each day."
