TENNIS VOLS FALL TO ARKANSAS, 5-2

The Tennessee men's tennis lost to Arkansas 5-2 Sunday, in Bentonville, Ark., at the Wal-Mart Health & Tennis Center to fall to 5-3 overall and 0-2 in the SEC.
"We ran into two very good teams on their courts this weekend," head men's tennis coach Chris Mahony said. "Ben Rogers had a great weekend of tennis going 4-0 and Bobby Cameron played as well as I've ever seen him play this weekend against one of the toughest singles players in the nation.
Arkansas (9-4, 1-1 SEC) started off the match by capturing the doubles point. The Hogs won at No. 2 and 3 doubles to take the point. Adam Hubble and Rogers did capture the No. 1 doubles match, defeating Arkansas's 22nd-ranked duo of Matt Roberts and Rohan Gajjar 8-6.
Rogers continued his solid play by defeating the Hogs' Jimmy Khougassian 7-5, 6-2 to tie the match at one.
After Gajjar gave the Razorbacks a 2-1 lead, Hubble tied the match again with a victory over Colin Mascall 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The match was dead even at that point, with Arkansas up a set at No. 4, Tennessee up a set at No. 1, and the contest at No. 3 even at a set apiece. But the Volunteers could not complete the comeback. Blake Strode finished off Kiril Tcherveniachki 7-6, 6-4 to put Arkansas up 3-2.
Matt Roberts clinched the victory for Arkansas with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 over Kaden Hensel.
Adrians Zguns defeated Bobby Cameron 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 in a super tie-breaker for the match's final score.
"This was a tough SEC road trip," Mahony said. "But we will certainly rebound and comeback strong next weekend and try to defend our home court. We got some great individual performances this weekend, now we just need to put it together as a team.
