UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR BASKETBALL SENDOFF TUESDAY

The University of Tennessee men's basketball team received their highest tournament bid in school history on Sunday, selected as a second seed in the Washington D.C. region for the 2006 NCAA Tournament. The Vols will take on the Winthrop Eagles on Thursday, March 16 at 2:40 p.m.
The team will be departing for Greensboro on Tuesday, March 14 at 6:15 p.m. Fans interested in showing their support as the team heads out are encouraged to come to the Thompson-Boling Arena parking lot off Lake Loudoun Boulevard between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for a pep rally.
The University of Tennessee alumni office is planning a Big Orange Tailgate Tour event prior to the game on Thursday. For more information, visit www.utalumni.utk.edu/bott.html.
UT received a very limited number of tickets and have already sold out of their allotment. Although the game is sold out, fans can check the Greensboro Coliseum website at www.greensborocoliseum.com to monitor for ticket availability.
