BASEBALL MOVES INTO TOP 10 IN COACHES' POLL

The Tennessee baseball team is ranked ninth in Monday's updated USA TODAY/ESPN Top-25 College Coaches' Poll, as selected by 36 Division I coaches representing the American Baseball Coaches Association. The Volunteers held on to their No. 6 ranking in the new Baseball America poll and also moved up to four spots to ninth in the updated rankings compiled by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Tennessee owns a 7-2 record this season, with both losses coming on the road against ranked opponents. The Vols dropped an 8-5 contest to Georgia Tech last Friday, and the Yellow Jackets now stand atop the coaches' poll.

Vols skipper Rod Delmonico is nine wins away from recording his 650th career head coaching victory. His next opportunity to move closer to the 650-win milestone comes Tuesday when UT hosts Lambuth at 3 p.m. at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Admission to Tuesday's game is free, and stadium gates open at 1 p.m.
