Feb. 20, 2006
The University of Tennessee announced a sell-out for next Wednesday's game against the University of Kentucky. University of Tennessee students can still swipe their UT IDs for admission to the game.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Free parking is available on the Ag campus with a free shuttle to the arena. Additional parking is available in select campus lots for $5.
A limited number of tickets remain for Saturday's game against the University of Arkansas. The Arkansas game will be especially exciting this year as the Vols honor the players of the 70s. The Vols will be donning 1970s era replica jerseys in conjunction with the SEC's "Throwback Week". The athletic department has also invited back members of the 1970s basketball teams to participate in the day's festivities, which will include a video tribute to teams from that era as well as a display of 1970s basketball memorabilia in the concourse. The Vols are also asking fans to bring back the popular "Orange Tie Club" for this game by wearing their favorite orange tie to the game.
Fans may order online at utsports.com, by phone by calling (865) 656-1200 for local calls and 1-800-332-VOLS (8657) for calls outside the Knoxville area or at the Thompson-Boling Arena Ticket office. Ticket office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday Friday.
