Tennessee senior quarterback Rick Clausen was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after coming off the bench to spark the Volunteers to a come-from-behind 30-27 overtime win at No. 4 LSU.
In leading the Vols back from a 21-0 halftime deficit, Clausen was 18-of-28 passing for 180 yards with a passing and rushing touchdown in the second half. In the game, Clausen completed 21-of-32 passes for 197 yards.
Clausen directed all of Tennessee's scoring drives, including Gerald Riggs, Jr.'s 1-yard TD run in overtime for the game-winner.
Tennessee's 21-point rally was the largest deficit the Vols have overcome to win since rallying from 21-0 down at Kentucky for a 38-35 win on Nov. 17, 2001.
