Parys Haralson Named Ted Hendricks Award Watch List

Chicago, Ill. - The Hendricks Foundation is proud to present the preseason watch list of candidates for the 2005 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award. During its inaugural year, the Hendricks Award was presented to Terrell Suggs (ASU, Ravens and NFL Rookie of the Year standout). The 2003 and 2004 Hendricks Award went to David Pollack of the University of Georgia and first round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals.
On field performance, leadership abilities and contributions to school and community are some of the criteria that are used to determine the award's winner. Candidates may represent any class (Freshmen through Senior) as well as any recognized four-year NCAA accredited school. The candidate's primary position must be Defensive End. This years pre-season candidates include, but are not limited to the following players:

This award is named in honor of University of Miami three-time collegiate All-America and NFL Hall of Famer Ted Hendricks. The Hendricks Foundation provides assistance to local and national charities through awards, grants and scholarship programs aimed at health, educational and recreational programs for youth and seniors.
