The No. 13 Tennessee baseball team hosts South Carolina Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m., for the first contest of a three-game weekend series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Any fan who brings two canned food items to the game can trade their donation for a complementary general admission ticket. All proceeds will benefit the Mission of Hope.
The Mission of Hope is a relief organization that was started after Bill Williams presented a feature called "Hunger for Hope" in 1996. The special relayed stories of real families suffering from extreme poverty in rural Appalachia. The mission is made up of committed volunteers who help supply food, healthcare, school supplies, Christmas gifts and hope to those most in need.
