Vols Gear Up for Trip to Tennessee Tech Tonight

The No. 16 Tennessee baseball team travels to Cookeville, Tenn., to face Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m. ET at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex. The game concludes a home-and-home series with the Golden Eagles, who fell to the Volunteers 16-1 in Knoxville Feb. 22.
Tennessee Tech has put together an 8-27 (3-8 OVC) record this season under second-year head coach Matt Bragga. Senior infielder Nathan Marty leads the Eagles with a .331 batting average, 27 RBIs and seven home runs. As a club, Tennessee Tech is hitting .254 with a staff ERA of 7.33.
The Vols lead the all-time series with TTU 60-27-1, dating to 1942. Tennessee defeated the Golden Eagles twice last season and has won 12 of the last 13 meetings in Cookeville.
