Diamond Vols Add Home Game With Tennessee Temple Tuesday Night

The No. 16 Tennessee baseball team has added a home game against Tennessee Temple for Tuesday night at 7 p.m., at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Admission to the game is free, and stadium gates will be open by 5 p.m.
The Volunteers sport a record of 25-10 (9-5 SEC) and boast the highest batting average in the conference at .328. Last weekend, Tennessee won two of three games against then-No. 10-ranked Arkansas.
Tennessee Temple is a Division I member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), which includes primarily Christ-centered liberal arts colleges and universities. Founded in 1946, TTU is located in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Vols own a 2-0 record in the all-time series with TTU, dating to 1987. Tennessee won both games by a combined score of 34-1. The most recent meeting in the series was a seven-inning, 17-0 win in Knoxville in 2000.
