| Coach Fulmer's Comments on Tennessee's 2005 Signing Class |
| "I'm very excited about this recruiting class. Our staff and support groups did a fantastic job during the course of the recruiting process. We do recruit by areas but it is very important for the position coaches to be involved in building relationships. "Everybody has to chip in and everybody did. "I cannot exclude the players at all. When the kids come to campus, our players just do a fantastic job of being hosts and telling them about Tennessee. Also, the faculty coming in is a big part of the visit and we appreciate everyone's help. "The University of Tennessee is a great product to sell with the traditions, facilities and academic support. If we can get them to campus, then we've got a chance to sign them. "This recruiting class has its own dynamics. We did fill some needs at our positions, which is always our first objective. Now it's a matter of seeing how they develop and how fast they can adjust to the college game and being away from home." |
