Seating for the 13th annual Tennessee Baseball Leadoff Banquet, which takes place Tuesday evening at the Knoxville Marriott, has reached capacity and the event has sold out. This year's guest speaker, current Atlanta Braves standout Chipper Jones, is the first active major league player to highlight the event.
Tickets will not be for sale at the door, and only those with confirmed reservations will be admitted. With more than 800 tickets sold, this year's banquet marks the largest in the 13-year history of the event.
Tennessee, under 16th-year head coach Rod Delmonico, begins the 2005 season Feb. 11 against Texas A&M in the Minute Maid College Classic in Houston.
