The University of Tennessee Athletic Department is in the process of developing a master plan for Neyland Stadium to assess needed renovations and upgrades for the stadium for the next 15-20 years and is looking for fan input.
" For many Tennessee fans, Neyland Stadium is the centerpiece of Tennessee athletics," UT athletic director Mike Hamilton said. "We want to ensure that the stadium be a viable and competitive structure and ready for its next century of service when we celebrate its 100th birthday in 2021."
Among the changes that need to be made at Neyland Stadium are fan amenities such as bathrooms, concession areas, concourse spaces, as well as structural issues that go along with having an 80-year old stadium. The structural and amenity improvements are estimated to be a $50-$100 million investment over the next 20 years.
Fans wanting to submit their suggestions for Neyland Stadium can visit UTSports.com or submit their ideas at one of 14 caravan stops over the next six weeks.
