Tennessee Head Coach Rob Patrick:
On beating Florida twice in one week:
"This is a great accomplishment for our team, to beat Florida twice in a week. I have such respect for Mary (Wise) and what she does with her program. I knew she'd be very prepared for us this match."
On winning the SEC Tournament title and the team's preparation:
"I couldn't be prouder of a group of young ladies who put their heart and soul not just into this match and just into this season. They put their heart and soul into every practice and every conditioning and strength workout we had since January. It's really neat to see all that work end up culminating in a championship."
"I was really happy with the way the kids came together and found the energy to just gut through that last game."
On Junior Amy Morris:
"Amy Morris is a player that is starting to get the recognition that she deserves. She might not always have the gaudy offensive statistics that everybody looks at like kills and hitting percentage, but what she does for our team is she provides a glue to allow all the other players to play their best. She takes so much pressure off all our younger players. They can play at a higher level when she is on the court."
Florida Head Coach Mary Wise:
On the difference in which team won the match:
"The difference was two things. Tennessee made the plays at the right time, and their serving and passing is better than our serving and passing. Those are skills that come with experience and we'll probably get there. Tennessee is just ahead of us right now."
On preparation for Tennessee:
"The first time we played Tennessee, we had a week to prepare for them. And the second time we played them we had a day, and the third time we had an hour. For a team like Tennessee, we are best when we have more time to prepare."
