Tennessee fans continue to purchase tickets to the 2003 football season and, according to UT Assistant Athletics Director Dara Worrell, have added South Carolina to the list of sold-out games. The Sept. 27 visit by the Gamecocks joins Georgia's Oct. 11 appearance at Neyland Stadium as completely out of tickets.
Worrell indicated the ticket office still has tickets remaining for the Duke, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt games. Duke is the Homecoming opponent on Nov. 1, while Mississippi State comes to Knoxville Nov. 15 and Vanderbilt offers the opposition for the season finale Nov. 22.
Tickets are $38 each and available via the UTsports.com Web site, or by phone at either (800) 332-VOLS or 656-1200. Thompson-Boling Arena ticket office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
According to the latest NCAA attendance figures, Tennessee is second in the nation through the first three weeks of the season. The Vols, who finished third last year in attendance, are averaging 105,190 per game to trail only Michigan's 110,109 average. Last year's No. 2 team, Penn State, is fourth at 103,999, with Ohio State just ahead in third at 104,756.
