LADY VOL VOLLEYBALL FALLS 3-0 TO NO. 3 FLORIDA

GAINESVILLE, Fla.
UT volleyball team fell to the #3 Florida Gators 3-0 in front of 3,007 fans at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville on Sunday.
Tennessee now sports a 12-4 record this season including 2-2 and in the SEC while Florida imporoved to 16-1 and 4-0 in the SEC.
UT nearly snapped the Gators streak of consecutive of games won in game two but Florida prevailed by a 32-30 score to win their 45th game in a row.
The Lady Vols were outhit for only the third time this year as UF connected on .389 of their attacks compared to UT's .184.
Tennessee's offense was evenly distrubuted against Florida as four Lady Vols had five kills while three registerd four.
Sophomore Michelle Piantadosi, senior Whitney Gifford, sophomore Amy Morris, and redshirt-freshman Jennifer Rudy each contributed 5 kills.
Sophomore setter Julie Knytych, meanwhile, led UT with six digs and 21 assists to go along with four kills.
Following their return to Knoxville, the Lady Vols play host to South Carolina at 7:00 p.m. on October 10th and Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. on October 12th.
