Tennessee-Alabama To Be Televised by CBS

The Southeastern Conference announced today that the Tennessee-Alabama game on Oct. 25 will begin at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) and will be televised by CBS.
Alabama leads the storied series over the Vols 43-35-7 in the battle of the SEC's two most succesful programs. The Crimson Tide ended Tennessee's seven-game winning streak over Alabama last year with a 34-14 win at Neyland Stadium. With the exception of 1943 during World War II, the two teams have played each year since 1928.
The UT-Alabama game will be one of four SEC games televised that day. Jefferson-Pilot will show Mississippi State at Kentucky at 12:30 p.m., with the Arkansas at Ole Miss ame being slated for ESPN2 at 7:15 p.m., and Auburn at LSU rounding out the day at 7:45 p.m. on ESPN.
The Vols have an open date this week (Oct. 19), while Alabama plays host to Ole Miss.
