Janelle Hester was always weary of huge responsibilities. Not anymore. Hester often questioned whether she could compete with the nation's best. Not anymore.
After one remarkable summer, UT's top volleyball player is brimming with confidence and is ready to lead.
It might sound like a clich?, but ready to lead is something that hasn't always come easily to Hester. She said it was nerve-wrecking when it first hit her that she was going to be a captain and only one of two seniors on this year's squad.
I'll admit I was nervous, she said. I usually don't like to be held with so much responsibility. Being a captain and having a huge new role and trying to care for your teammates can be overwhelming.
