| KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - University of Tennessee officials announced new season ticket prices in addition to some changes to Thompson-Boling Arena for the upcoming 2002-03 season. One of the key changes for the 2002-03 basketball season is the reduced prices for tickets. Season tickets in the 300 level of Thompson-Boling Arena will go on sale for $204 each while season tickets in the 100 and 200 levels will be available for $234 each. Following is a list of the ticket pricing this season: * Exhibition Games - Ticket prices for individual exhibition games have been reduced from $8 per game to $5. * Big Game Pack - Tickets to four of the top home games this season (Jan. 8 vs. Kentucky, Jan. 25 vs. Louisville, Feb. 15 vs. Florida and Feb. 22 vs. Alabama) have been reduced from $56 last year for the four-game pack to $48. Initially, single-game tickets will not be available for games that are included in the Big Game Pack. * Single-Game Tickets (300 level) - Tickets for Tennessee's regular season home games have been reduced from $14 per game last season to $8 this year. This does not include games in the Big Game Pack. * Group Sales - Group tickets are available for all home games except those included in the Big Game Pack (Kentucky, Louisville, Florida and Alabama). Groups of 30 or more will receive reserved seats at half price ($4 each). Beginning Friday, August 16, season tickets may be renewed online at UTSports.com. Fans who renew their tickets online will be eligible for prizes. Applications will be sent via standard mail beginning next week. The deadline for renewing season tickets is Sept. 15. The Vols will have a new floor design this season. A checkerboard pattern will be added along each baseline of the basketball court in addition to the word "Tennessee" in block lettering across midcourt. Also, in an effort to enhance the atmosphere of Thompson-Boling Arena by creating a more intimate setting, the use of the current curtain configuration in the arena will be used for specific games. |
