STOCKBRIDGE, Ga.-- The Tennessee men's golf team is in 12th place at the Atlanta Intercollegiate, being played at Eagles Landing Country Club (par 72, 6,899 yards). The Vols fired a 300-304--604.
Freshman Ross McGowan leads the way for the Vols with a 77-72--149 to tie him for 27th. Senior Jimmy White is tied for 32nd with a scorecard of 72-78--150. Rounding out the Vol scores are junior Ian Parnaby (38th-t) with a 73-78--151, senior Andrew Black (55th-t) with an 80-76--156 and junior Andrew Pratt (59th-t) with a 78-80--158.
Leading the tournament is Auburn. The 2002 SEC Champions have a two-round scorecard of 293-282--575. North Florida is second with a 292-287--579. Florida (292-289--581) and Georgia (290-291--581) are tied for third, with Kentucky rounding out the top five with a 582.
Tennessee will be in action again on Friday with the final round of the tournament.
