Comments from Tennessee`s Phillip Fulmer during Monday's Press Conference featuring both head coaches at the Georgia Dome.
Tennessee Head Coach Phillip Fulmer
On UT linebacker Eddie Moore's Status: "He hasn't been able to practice to this point at all. The other side of that coin, Eddie didn't practice a lot the last six or seven weeks of the season and was able to play. He's a veteran player. If he's able to play he will. He's been in all the meetings and at all the practices. He certainly would understand what to do, but the knee just hasn't responded from the surgery as they anticipated after the season."
On Maryland's Offense: "Coach Friedgen has always done a great job with multiplicity of their offense. They are an exceptional running football team. They have two very fine backs in Downs and Perry. Their quarterbacks handle it very well and the offensive line is big and physical. That's complicated by the option and the different option looks that you get from them that makes you accountable from a responsibility standpoint and limits you some from a blitz package which I'm sure is the reason they do some of those things. And, then they can throw the football. They spread you out and can throw the football well."
On Maryland's Defense: "Maryland is a talented defensive football team with a lot of looks and probably have the best defender in America in the middle of their defense making plays from sideline to sideline.
On the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl: "From a hospitality standpoint, an enjoyment standpoint, an enjoyment standpoint, this has been as good as we've been to. Gary and his staff and all the volunteers have been exceptionally organized. You've got the facility, the Georgia Dome, the local, and there are so many reasons this would be a special place for a BCS bowl game.
