1. Will Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen present special problems to the Vols defense because of his versatility and size?
A - "When you analyze Kentucky's offense, you need to give a lot of attention to the quarterback as a passer and scrambler and also as a field general. Lorenzen is an older, more mature player. He knows all the throws, and he knows when to throw it away. It's tough to get him on the ground."
2. How does Kentucky tailback Artose Pinner stack up with the other outstanding runners Tennessee is facing this season?
A - "Pinner is as good as any we've played. He reminds me of our own Travis Henry a few years ago. He is a big guy who can break tackles, and he can run away from you. He can run inside effectively, and he can run outside effectively. He is a good receiver and is good at protecting the passer. He's the whole package, as you can tell by the fact he leads the SEC."
3. With Rashad Baker sidelined for the season, who can provide leadership in the Vols secondary?
A - "It's a shared role back there. Jabari Greer has stepped in and provided some excellent enthusiasm. Mark Jones has stepped in and helped beyond his role as a big-play man on kick returns. Julian Battle and Gibril Wilson have been steady. We miss Rashad, and we miss Willie Miles, who we don't know whether he can make it Saturday."
4. Comment on the swap in the schedule of Vanderbilt and Kentucky, making the Wildcats the final opponent of the season.
A -"It doesn't matter to me. There was an agreement among athletic directors, partly because more Vanderbilt students can be on campus when we play in Nashville every other season."
5. What is the bowl outlook for the Vols pending Saturday's regular season finale with Kentucky?
A - "We need to worry only about Kentucky. Everything else will take care of itself if we do. However, I am glad we are bowl eligible. Our whole focus is on beating Kentucky for our eighth victory. Considering all this team has been through, it would be a real accomplishment that would allow our seniors and the entire team and coaching staff to hold their heads up."
